Sanyukta Bhatia sows a sapling on Environment Day

Lucknow. Mayor Sanyukta Bhatia starts a mega plantation drive by sowing a sapling at the Rahimabad Atal Udaya Forest on the occasion of World Environment Day. This plantation drive, backed by Nagar Nigam intends to plant around 1 lakh plants across 5 hectares of land in the city. Propelling the mission of establishing a 'Green Lucknow', the Nagar Nigam has buckled up to renovate 900 parks around the city. Several peepal saplings were sowed at Rahimabad Atal Udaya Forest as the first step towards the mission. Besides this, about 400 saplings were sowed in different parts of Lucknow on World Environment Day.
