Senior TOI Journalist Subhash Mishra Succumbs To Covid-19

Lucknow. On Saturday senior journalist Subhash Mishra passed away after a long but unsuccessful battle with Coronavirus.
The end came in the wee hours at the SGPGI. The affable and soft-spoken Mishra had contracted the infection about two weeks back and had been under treatment ever since them.
An avid footballer, Subhash Mishra was assistant editor with national English daily The Times Of India and had played long innings at the India Today, where his in-depth and incisive political reporting had made him a big name in the media world. Several political leaders and senior media personalities have mourned his passing away.
Taking to Twitter, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh said, “Deeply saddened by the demise of senior @TOILucknow journalist, Shri Subhash Mishra ji. He distinguished himself as a diligent observer, prolific writer and a wonderful human being. He made notable contribution to English journalism in UP. My condolences to his bereaved family.”

SP leader Akhilesh Yadav also expressed condolences to the departed soul.

Reportedly, Subhash was admitted at the Sanjay Gandhi Postgraduate Institute of Medical Sciences in Lucknow on April 21 after he tested positive for Covid-19.
